These Terms apply to all prize competition promoted by LEAP Software Holdings Pty Ltd, parent company of Law Connect (“LawConnect”). By participating in the competition, you accept and agree to comply with these Terms.
All Prize Winners must be registered through Instagram Direct Message from the @LawConnectAU Instagram account, by providing their full name, email address and telephone number. LawConnect reserves the right to cancel or terminate any registration at any time. You will receive a registration confirmation email at the email address you provide during registration.
LawConnect will handle and protect your personal data provided in accordance with our group Privacy Statement located at https://www.leap.com.au/privacy.
LawConnect may make changes to these Terms at any time. You understand and agree that if you participate in the competition after the date on which the Terms have changed, your participation will mean that you accept the updated Terms.
LawConnect (and/or others on behalf of LawConnect) may photograph and/or record (both audio and video, "Recordings") at venues, events and/or activities. By agreeing to these Terms:
You agree that your image, likeness, voice, statements and other identifying characteristics (your "Image") may be recorded, and you consent to the use of your Image in connection with the use of the Recordings.
You irrevocably grant LawConnect and their agents and event partners, contractors, licensees, that work on their behalf (the "LawConnect Parties") a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free and fully paid-up, perpetual license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, translate, display, perform and otherwise exploit the Recordings and your Image therein, in whole or in part, in any and all media formats and through any and all media channels, in any manner and for any purpose in connection with LawConnect, its business and/or Event (including any future reoccurrence of the Event or a similar event), and for any other lawful purpose for the benefit of LawConnect.
You agree that LawConnect may determine, in its sole discretion which Image, if any, it will use, and that LawConnect is not obligated to make any use of your Image.
You understand that your Image may appear in Recordings made available to you, other attendees, or the public, and that third-parties may retain and distribute those Recordings.
You agree that LawConnect exclusively owns all rights (including intellectual property rights) in the Recordings and all results and proceeds derived from the use of the Recordings and your Image therein, and that no portion of such proceeds will be shared with you.
You waive and release any and all rights of privacy and publicity, and any and all claims to compensation or damages or of violation of intellectual property rights, in connection with the use of the Recordings and your Image therein and/or any related advertising or publicity.
You represent that you are of full legal age and have read this release and fully understand its contents.
Admission for you and a friend to board a luxury motor yacht, hosted by LawConnect, to watch the SOLAS Big Boat Challenge live on Sydney Harbour on 05/12/2023.
The winner may be required to participate in reasonable publicity on behalf of LawConnect.
LawConnect will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the prize except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
As a condition of accepting the prize, the winner must sign any legal documentation as and, in the form, reasonably required by LawConnect, including but not limited to a legal release.
LawConnect assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, corruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of contest entries. LawConnect is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any computer networks and systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any entry to be received by LawConnect on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any application or web site, or any combination of them, including any injury or damage related to or resulting from participation in this Competition.
There will be 2 winners drawn for the entire contest. The winner(s) will receive a Sydney Boat Cruise on a luxury boat selected by LawConnect, in its sole discretion, in the value of $2499. The winner(s) will be drawn on 27/11/2023 and will be notified on the same day.
To be eligible for the prize, the winner(s) will have tagged a minimum of one friend on the competition post on the @LawConnectAU Instagram account between 08/11/2023 and 27/11/2023.
The winner(s) and their guests must each be over the age of 18 years old.
No cash alternative to the prize will be offered. The prize is not transferable. We reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
Events may occur that render the prize draw itself or the awarding of the prizes impossible or inadvisable due to reasons beyond the control of LawConnect (e.g., unsafe sailing conditions). Accordingly, LawConnect may, at its absolute discretion, cancel, vary or amend the contest and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to LawConnect.
